Job Description

Position Summary

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects from start to closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to scope. This role works closely with the Senior Project Manager, Director of Field Operations, and Superintendents to maintain strong communication between office and field operations. The PM ensures all project documentation, scheduling, and billing processes are managed accurately and efficiently. Projects include commercial, hospital, and healthcare environments, requiring adherence to Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) and facility standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. Identify risks, evaluate change impacts, and collaborate with leadership to maintain schedule and cost integrity.
  • Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers in documentation, coordination, and invoicing processes.
  • Build and maintain project data in ComputerEase (CE) and Procore, ensuring accurate setup for accounting, billing, and timekeeping.
  • Register projects with the appropriate city or county agencies as required and obtain necessary permits, waivers, and signatures to support ongoing activities.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams to ensure materials, equipment, and resources are properly scheduled and delivered.
  • Manage monthly billing and payment processes, including review and coding of invoices, AIA applications, and Schedule of Values submissions.
  • Maintain complete and compliant project documentation in Procore, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and correspondence, ensuring adherence to AHCA, ICRA, and applicable building and safety codes.
  • Lead progress and coordination meetings with project teams, clients, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Provide superior client service by maintaining proactive communication and delivering closeout and warranty documentation that meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present project status reports as requested.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in commercial and healthcare construction, including hospital environments.
  • Knowledge of AHCA (Agency for Healthcare Administration) and ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) standards; proven track record managing AHCA inspections to successful completion.
  • ICRA certification required or ability to obtain within first year; OSHA 10/30 certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Proficiency with ComputerEase, Procore, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally visit and navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain and stairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE while on job sites, including hard hat and safety glasses.

 

Working Conditions

  • Work performed primarily in an office environment with regular visits to construction sites.
  • Must be able to comply with healthcare facility and infection control requirements when on-site.

May require occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekend work based on project demands.
